We are a group of volunteers — children or relatives of Holocaust survivors — committed to passing on memory through human encounter.

Our visits to schools make it possible to explore the values of democracy and the challenges of living together by sharing our stories.

Each session is followed by a Q&A, a privileged moment of dialogue where pupils can freely express their questions and feelings. These discussions also open the door to broader topics such as living together, democracy, and the dangers of stereotypes.

The goal is to foster active engagement from pupils, helping them connect with this history and understand its contemporary relevance. As Jacques Sémelin showed in Persecutions and Mutual Aid in Occupied France (2013), “understanding the mechanisms that lead to mass violence is not enough: we must also examine emotions, empathy, and individual choices.”
